Badzie I've been listening to Sault's '5' (on vinyl) practically on repeat for the last week. I can't really quantify why it's so good, other than it gets under your skin and reverberates there. All their stuff has this visceral quality, which makes it sound like it's sticky, but it isn't. It flows but it's gritty at the same time. [Note to self: revisit this review when you're feeling more articulate.] [But that's the point - it articulates the unsayable with lucid beats and fluent, fluid emotions]... Favorite track: Monsters.
